Located in The Shops at Mauna Lani, The Blue Room is a French restaurant reminiscent of a Parisian brasserie with Hawaiian influence in both food and culture. The inspiration for this Brasserie is the reception room at Iolani Palace, the royal home of the Hawaiian Monarchy, affectionately known as The Blue Room, as well as an original menu from the palace dining room.

This take on the classic French Onion is a refreshing and great concept that to me is better then the original.

The soup is sweet with a slight Pepper note. It is not as thick as the classic but is just as creamy.

The pumpkin (Kambutcha) is mixed through out giveing it a unique taste and sweetness.  

Some of the pumpkin is firm and some mushy but does give this a great array of texture through out. 

The added parsley in this gives this a great need of freashness and an herbatious note.

This is a Real fusion dish, the Curry Lobster. 

This features a Lobster tail that is panko Crusted and fried.  

It is served on a bed of rice with the curry sauce next to it and filled with onion, potatoes and carrots.
