Etablished in 1969 and located in the town of Honoka'a, Big Island, TEX has is famous for there world famous Malasadas that are all hand made in there bakery and can be seen daily from the viewing window.
All of the Malasadas are more dough the filling and some with little to no filling all covered in sugar.
The dough is moist and creamy with a great texture.
Guava :
Th filling is rich in flavor and consultancy of the pink guava purée.
it is not overly sweet and has a slight bite to it in the back.
You can definitely know its guava but does have a grainy texture from the added sugar
Strawberry :
he filling is very sweet and has a good amount of cor surup makeing me believe its not made in house. A big disappointment to me.
There is not really any flavor of the strawberry in this at all just overly sweet and has an elasticity o it
Haupia (Coconut) :
The filling is very frothy and has a constantly of marshmallow fluff.
It has a big flavor of the coconut and is probably made by whipping coconut milk and powdered sugar.
This by far is the best in flavor to the name but is so sweet and could have been cut down in sweetness my adding some citrus.
