Vineyard : Montelana Vineyards 

Grapes :   Blend 

Varietals : 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc

Harvest Date : September 11 - October 9 

Barrel Aged : 16 months, French and Eastern European oak, 27% new

ABV : 14.2%

Bottling Date : April 2016

Release Date : March 2017

 

 

The bouquet is of blackberry, plum, oak, cassis, cocoa powder, bing cherry, rose hip, soil, and raw almond

 

The flavors are of blackberry, sumac, dried bing cherry, freash goat cheese, dried Turkish fig, raspberry, vanillin, oak, kumquat, and Sarawak Black Pepper.

There is a mint note at the finish along with a slight hint of  cocoa butter

 

The mouthfeel is of  the alcohol and is hot (as in a capsaicin way) You can really feel the tannins in this through out.
