Cascade Brewing - The Vine 2015

ABV : 8.30%             Style : Sour - American Wild Ale

The beer pours a nice white and foamy head that dissipates rather quickly. The beer itself is a very nice looking clear medium gold that looks light amber in the light. The overall appearance strongly resembles a chardonnay.

The smell is good. There is a strong white grape, musk, yeast, iodine and a slight sweet honey smell to it. The oak note comes out very faint but it gets lost fast.

The taste is good but very sour. It has a strong grape note that comes through after the first few sips and with a light hop bitterness to it. The taste is a nice mixture of white grape and a Granny Smith apple. There is also a light pollen sweetness that is barely there but comes out when gets up to room temperature . The oak also comes out  but is so faint that it's really not notable.
